Semper Fidelis

"The validity of your substantiation is appallingly cogent."
Well, that's one fun statement. It was coined by one of my schoolmates, back at the very beginning of our high school days, when we were all really just starting to learn English. This little sentence never fails to make me laugh. It's so quintessentially pure, so simply fun. As far as I can remember, in "actual" talk I used it only once—at my CPE exam—though here and there I lighten the Net by its means. But to the point – it's really nostalgic. Makes me think about all those people. Some of them will probably never know how close they were to becoming true friends. Why they didn't is another thing to wonder at. What a pity things aren't so simple anymore. Maybe they never were. Why should anyone care by now?
